BTW, the NFL is pulling the plug on NFL Europe.
No doubt, this will cause the Germans to start another war.

since american football is deadly dull, interspersed with moments of excitement, and seems to revolve around knowing a billion statistics about who threw the most yards on tuesdays during may, or which teams draft pick has the biggest combined weight, i'm inclined to agree.
Nah, Baseball is the sport that is obsessive about statistics. They are not nearly as important in Football.

Preach on brother. One time I hit near a water hazard and I got my shoes wet trying to hit the ball. I want to see these pansy football players play the final 6 holes with wet shoes.
Instead, they play in mud, ice, sleet, blizzards and near monsoon like rainstorms. There is no such thing as a weather delay in American football. Not that 120+ degree heat on the playing field is a picnic either.
P.S. Oh yeah, fog too. Bears vs. Eagles, New Years Eve 1988.

NFL exec wants teams in London, Mexico and Canada within 10 years
Mark Waller, NFL senior vice president of sales and marketing, also said in an interview that he hopes the league would have teams based in London, Mexico and Canada within 10 years. Waller said that he hopes the league would have teams based outside the U.S. by 2017. ``Ten years from now, I hope we will have a team in London, I hope we'll have a team in Mexico, I hope we'll have one in Toronto, playing within the NFL,'' Waller said. -- Bloomberg
